A leather sling on an oak frame.
A single piece of vegetable-tanned saddle leather, slung between four tapered legs of white oak. The leather is left raw; it will darken to a deep tobacco over the first decade.
Inspired by the safari chairs the British colonial service used to ship abroad. We have made it lighter, simpler, and more careful. One piece of saddle leather, vegetable-tanned in Tuscany, slung between four legs of white-oak. The leather will darken; the oak will lighten; the chair will look better in ten years than it does today.
