ASHWICKHOME
— Our story

A house built on restraint.

The workshop
— Beginnings

One barn.
Ten boards of ash.

We started in 2024 in a stone barn outside Stow-on-the-Wold, with ten boards of ash that had been drying since 2010 and one idea: to make furniture the way it used to be made, by people who would still be alive to fix it in forty years.

We finished our first sofa in February 2025. We delivered it ourselves. The owner has written to us once a season since.

“Most furniture is built
to be replaced.
We build ours to be inherited.”
